I was born and raised in the small semi-rural village of Claygate, Surrey in England, which at a young age gave me an appreciation for nature and the desire to create art. I worked as an electronic engineer for over 20 years and then moved to France for a new life, working as a builder for 18 years. I have always been an occasional artist, but now retired, I have returned to my love of painting and drawing with renewed enthusiasm.
I am currently working in oil paint and charcoal. My themes at the moment are landscapes, portraits and the female form.
I was recently selected and had my first exhibition of my work at L’art s’invite á Magrie, which was a great success and moral boost for me. I intend to continue to exhibit and am open to new experiences.
I was selected to exhibit in the wonderful L’art s’invite á Magrie in 2024, which was a great success. I have also been selected for the Toques et Clochers wine festival in Cournanel on April 11th and 12th 2025.

Je suis né et j’ai grandi dans le petit village semi-rural de Claygate, Surrey en Angleterre, ce qui m’a donné très jeune une appréciation de la nature et le désir de créer de l’art. J’ai travaillé comme ingénieur en électronique pendant plus de 20 ans, puis j’ai déménagé en France pour une nouvelle vie, travaillant comme maçon pendant 18 ans. J’ai toujours été un artiste occasionnel, mais aujourd’hui à la retraite, j’ai retrouvé mon amour de la peinture et du dessin avec un enthousiasme renouvelé.
Je travaille actuellement à la peinture à l’huile et au fusain. Mes thèmes actuels sont les paysages, les portraits et la forme féminine.
J’ai été sélectionné pour exposer à la magnifique exposition « L’art s’invite à Magrie » en 2024, qui a rencontré un vif succès. J’ai également été sélectionné pour la fête du vin « Toques et Clochers » à Cournanel les 11 et 12 avril 2025.
